Chris Doughty

Lead Instructor - PFC Asia-Pacific

As a law enforcement officer with a major Australian Police Department for nearly a decade, Chris undertook a number of training roles including instructing indigenous students, acting as a Field Training officer and as an Operational Safety and Tactics trainer. Throughout his law enforcement career, Chris was often a first responder to a significant number of incidents including violent crimes in progress and outbreaks of civil disorder.

As an Operational Safety and Tactics trainer, Chris conducted training in firearms, tactics, use of force policy, empty hand control and self defense. He has developed and conducted scenario and reality based training, both role playing and assessment of safety and performance. In this role, Chris was responsible for the research and development of tactical training, use of force policy and equipment evaluation.

Throughout his career, Chris has attended a number of instructor-level Australian and International courses in Firearms and Tactics, Defensive Tactics and Close Personnel Protection. He holds Australian nationally recognized certifications in Training and Assessment, Public Safety, Close Personnel Protection, and Firearms and Defensive Tactics training.

Chris has had the honor of training with and providing training to United States Armed Forces personnel, law enforcement and SWAT operators in conjunction with PFC USA. He is currently the Lead Instructor for PFC Asia-Pacific where he modifies and develops PFC protective security curriculum for instruction to local close protection and security personnel. He is also responsible for selection, training and deployment of PFC Executive Protection staff within the Asia-Pacific region.
