Instructor - Firearms, Combatives & Vehicle Operations

Pat Burke possesses a broad degree of military, security, and law enforcement experience. Pat provides lead instruction for PFC during Open and Restricted Program events.

Pat served as a paratrooper in the United States Army where he earned multiple commendations and decorations for his actions in Grenada during Operation Urgent Fury. During his military tenure, Pat graduated numerous specialized courses and schools addressing small unit tactics and field operations.

Upon leaving the military, Pat became a member of the United States Department of Energy's nuclear protective force charged with the security and safeguarding of special nuclear material, nuclear explosive devices, and classified government research projects. Pat's experience within the DOE system includes Tactical Response Team (TRT) operations, participation in annual Nationwide DOE Security Police Officer %26 multi-agency shooting competitions, and service as a protective force field supervisor. He has graduated the DOE's Instructor Certification Program and currently holds a DOE Firearms Instructor Certification.

Pat is presently a full-time police officer for a major metropolitan police department where he is a certified firearms instructor, Defensive Tactics Instructor, and Field Training Officer (FTO). In addition to his professional law enforcement duties and service with PFC, Pat is an Adjunct Firearms Instructor for the U.S. DOE Protective Force Training Division located at the Nevada Test Site and acts as a consultant on terrorism-related projects through Keystone International, Inc.
