TRAUMA CARE AND IMMEDIATE RESPONSE

The Progressive F.O.R.C.E. Concepts “TCAIR” Series of lifesaving training courses aims to span the bridge of job, environment, and mission specific in-extremis pre-hospitalization trauma care (at times under fire) for individuals of all skill levels.  Whether you are a civilian, security professional, law enforcement officer, or member of our armed services, there is a TCAIR program engineered to fit your needs.  All instruction provided is recognized by the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) and their standards for professional trauma care training.  TCAIR courses are available in either the standard form or the “Plus” track.  Standard courses are one full 8-hour day focused on profile specific management of trauma, tools, techniques, and treatment procedures.  TCAIR Plus (+) courses are two full days (16-hours) and include an extra day of comprehensive scenario-based evolutions to expose the student to greater ambiguity, fluidity, and decision-making.  Through the use of moulage (trauma makeup), non-lethal training munitions, trained role-players, varying conditions of light, and a multitude of other artificial stressors, training is brought into a whole new realm of realism and effectiveness.
For those of you in the security profession or who perform protective operations, join us for TCAIR-EP+ on October 1-2 in Las Vegas.  And stay tuned for information about our civilian TCAIR course on December 1st!

PFC CROSSFIT: GIVE 5 MINUTES FOR AUTISM

On Friday, September 9th PFC CrossFit will be running Lift Up Autism’s “Luke” WOD during all of our scheduled WOD classes.
Lift Up Autism started in 2013 as “Lift Up Luke” as a “competition for a cause” specifically to support early diagnosis and treatment of Autism and raise funds for the Autism Tree Project Foundation in San Diego.  With the CrossFit community behind it, the event has grown and continues to help raise awareness about Autism.  All monies donated go straight to helping real families in the Autism community.  This event now not only supports the Autism Tree Project Foundation, but also the Autism Research Project and the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation.
The workout “Luke” is a 5 minute AMRAP of 4 Power Cleans (155/105), 24 Double Unders, and 10 Pull-ups.  This workout is challenging but doable.  It is easily scalable for athletes of all abilities and experience levels.
