Robert Follis brings to PFC over 20 years of martial arts training and coaching experience to military & law enforcement personnel, civilians, and mixed martial arts champions.
Currently holding a Black Belt in Jiu-Jitsu, Robert is highly sought after for his expertise coaching both amateur and pro MMA teams. For over 10 years, he was the head coach and owner of Team Quest focusing on MMA, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Kickboxing, and No-Gi submission wrestling. Presently, he coaches at one of the world’s most recognized MMA gyms (Extreme Couture) where he has instructed several world champions and top UFC fighters. Some of his athletes include Randy Couture, Dan Henderson, Chael Sonnen, Chris Leben, and Ed Herman, among others.
In addition to his work with pro MMA fighters, Robert has been dedicated to increasing the effectiveness and survivability of our nation’s military and law enforcement professionals who are faced with violent physical encounters. Working closely with Chad Lyman (PFC’s Director of Combatives), Robert delivers defensive tactics and combatives training as a senior instructor in the Code 4 Concepts system. Robert’s instructional ability to break down complex material and deliver the immediate real-world application continues to make him one of the most effective instructors and coaches in the industry.
In addition to his combatives training and coaching credentials, Robert is a skilled firearms & tactics instructor, certified in protective services, and a Protection Agent assigned to select PFC Safeguards protective details.
